Pool Configuration

To start mining, you need to set up pool connections in the Pools tab of the web interface.
In the Custom Pools widget, enter your pool details from your mining account:

• Pool address: stratum+tcp://btc.viabtc.tech:3333 (example for ViaBTC)

• Worker name / login: your pool username

• Password: pool password or optional value (e.g., x)

⚠️ Without this information (pool address, login, password), the device cannot start mining.

Backup Pools

GMiner firmware allows configuring up to three pool addresses:

• Primary Pool

• Secondary Pool (backup)

• Tertiary Pool (backup)

It is strongly recommended to set three different pools or addresses.
If the primary pool becomes unavailable, the system automatically switches to the next one.

Connection logic:

• 3 attempts to connect to the first pool with a 5 s interval.

• If failed, it switches to the second pool.

• Every 10 minutes, the system retries connection to the primary pool automatically.
  You can track this process in the Logs section under category STRATUM.

 

Service Fee Feature (Optional)

GMiner firmware includes a Service Fee feature.
It allows redirecting a small percentage of mining time to another account — for example, as a reward for setup or maintenance help.

To enable it:

1. Enter the secondary user’s pool address, login, and password.

2. Set the desired percentage (%).

Example: You configure 1 % Service Fee — the miner will work for that account 1 % of the total uptime.

 

Configuration via GMiner Toolkit

All pool settings and service fees can also be configured directly in GMiner Toolkit, without using the web interface.

 

⚠️ Notes

• Make sure your pools use supported stratum protocols (TCP only).

• Always verify that the entered addresses are correct and not blocked by local ISP or firewall.

• For better uptime, select pools geographically closest to your location.
