Firmware Update (21.10.2025)

Instructions for upgrading your current firmware to the latest version.

Supports both local flashing via Toolkit and manual update through the web interface.

Step 1 — Get the Latest Firmware

You can always download the newest GMiner firmware from the official GitHub repository:

Look for the latest release (e.g., gminer_1_10.gmu).

Step 2 — Update via Web Interface

  1. Open your ASIC’s web interface.

  2. Go to System → Update from File.

  3. Click Choose File and select the downloaded .gmu file.

  4. Press Update and wait for the process to complete.

  5. After installation, the device will automatically reboot.

⚙️ Your configuration and pool settings will be preserved during the update.

Step 3 — Update via GMiner Toolkit

Alternatively, you can update your ASICs directly through the GMiner Toolkit (recommended for multiple devices):

  1. Open the Toolkit.

  2. Select your group or specific devices.

  3. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) → Update Firmware.

  4. Choose the .gmu update file and confirm installation.

  5. You can monitor progress under the Operations tab and view the installation log.

If any devices fail to update, verify:

  • You are using BITMAIN firmware from before March 2024.

  • No third-party firmware (VNISH, LuxOS, etc.) is installed.

• • Device is detected in the Toolkit with a valid IP range.

Step 4 — Final Verification

After reboot, check:

  • Firmware version → System → Overview

  • Device uptime

  • Hashrate and temperature stability

If you see a “Reboot Required” message — perform a manual restart.

 

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Only firmware versions before March 2024 are compatible for direct installation.

  • CV (Control Version) boards are not supported yet — support is in development.

  • Do not interrupt power or network connection during the update.

  • Always download firmware only from the official GMiner GitHub or HashBoost portal.
