Rollback from VNISH to BITMAIN

Guidelines for restoring stock BITMAIN firmware after using VNISH.

⚙️ Step-by-Step Rollback Process

⚠️ Important:
The rollback function is available only for firmware installed in NAND memory.
Devices running from SD cards or with modified bootloaders cannot use this function.

Step 1 — Access the Web Interface

  1. Open your miner’s web interface in a browser.

  2. Navigate to System → General Settings.

  3. Open the Backup & Restore section.

  4. Click Expand Panel to see advanced options.

  5. Select Rollback to Stock Firmware.

  6. Confirm the operation when prompted.

After confirmation, the system will:

  • Erase the current VNISH firmware from NAND memory.

  • Restore the original BITMAIN factory firmware.

  • Automatically reboot the device.

Step 2 — Verify Rollback

Once the device restarts:

  • Log in again to the web interface.

  • Check System → Overview — the firmware version should now show BITMAIN Stock.

  • Ensure the hashrate, fan speed, and temperatures are displayed correctly.

If data does not appear, perform a factory reset (System → Configuration → Reset to Default).

Step 3 — Reinstall GMiner ASIC Firmware (Optional)

After successful rollback, you can reinstall GMiner ASIC firmware:

  1. Download the latest version from the official repository:

• 2. Use GMiner Toolkit or System → Update from File to install it safely.

⚠️ Warnings & Compatibility Notes

  • Do not power off or reboot during rollback — it may corrupt NAND memory.

  • Only use this function on BITMAIN-based devices.

  • VNISH firmware must be installed in NAND, not SD mode.

  • CV (Control Version) boards are not supported yet. Support is in development.

  • Rollback is irreversible — all VNISH custom settings will be erased.
